M42 motorway – Junctions 9 and 10

Balfour Beatty VINCI is working in partnership with HS2 Ltd and National Highways to install the Marston Box bridge across the M42 motorway between junctions 9 to 10. These works will require a phased temporary full closure of both the M42 southbound and northbound, between junctions 9 and 10.

To complete these works safely and efficiently we will install the following phased closure of the M42 motorway:

· Southbound carriageway closure (Junctions 10 to 9) – from 9pm on Friday 23 December 2022 to 5am Tuesday 3 January 2023.

· Northbound carriageway closure (Junctions 9 to 10) – from 5pm Saturday 24 December 2022 to 5am Tuesday 3 January 2023.

A clear signed diversion route will be in place over this period with advance signage in place to help remind motorists of the closure.
