Twycross Parish Council Parish Clerk/Responsible Finance Officer JOB VACANCY
Part Time Position 43 hours per month (days/times flexible) (Approximately 10 hours per week plus an evening meeting bi monthly + Budget meeting in December)
NJC salary scale 8 - 18 (£10.65 – £12.64 per hour) (based on 20-21 scale - awaiting 21-22 scale) Depending on experience
Home Based Meetings held in Twycross, Orton on the Hill and Norton Juxta Twycross
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Twycross Parish Council as the Parish Clerk (Proper Officer) / Responsible Financial Officer. The role is varied in its nature and offers the applicant a high degree of flexibility in their working pattern.
The successful applicant will ensure that all legal, statutory, financial and other governing provisions relating to the Council are observed, all Council Meetings are properly administered and decisions effectively implemented, whilst developing healthy working partnerships with key local and regional bodies.
You will also carry out a wide range of general administrative duties, and need to be confident in the use of technology.
The ideal applicant will have achieved the Certificate in Local Council Administration (or be willing to obtain it), be self-motivated, enthusiastic and community focused.
The role requires a high standard of administrative, communication, IT, financial and organisational skills.
The applicant needs to be flexible in their approach in order to meet deadlines.
This role includes some evening work and you will need to be able to work flexibly on your own initiative from home.
A working from home allowance will be provided along with a laptop and printer. Council documents will need to be stored securely at the role holders' address.
