Balsam Bashing at the Mease

The River Mease has a lot of Himalayan Balsam on its banks which kills off native species and allows the river bank to fall into the river to create more silt which kills off wildlife in the river. We are trying to do something to stop this from happening.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER Swepstone Road

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

A road closure is required on Swepstone Road on the 8th July 2021 for one day between 13:00 and 15:00. The road will only be closed once works on Church Street, Swepstone have been completed and the road reopened (reference Press Release NWL0848).
